Now, through passes, especially lofted ones, are more accurate if the passer has high stats, but there’s also more risk on very long ones. Meanwhile, shooting overall benefits from tweaks: you won’t see as many ridiculous long-range screamers from low-rated players, but if you time a shot well with a top striker, it’s deadly. The update is leaning into stats and skill mattering more, which is great for those who carefully build teams.


New Tactical Formations

For the longest time, we were a bit limited in formation variety in FC Mobile. Season 26 changes that by adding seven new formations, including:

  • 4-2-1-3

  • 4-1-3-2

  • 3-4-2-1

  • Pre/Post Match Cutscenes: Now, before a match, you might see a quick cutscene – like players walking out or the camera panning the stadium. After matches, maybe celebrations or dejection animations. It adds to the immersion, making each match feel like a broadcast.


  • New Camera Angles: They’ve added more camera options to choose from, including some closer, more dynamic ones for replays or certain situations. If you want to feel right on the pitch, you can. I personally like a slightly zoomed-out view for gameplay, but the new angles in replays are awesome.


  • Match Lobby Revamp: This one’s subtle but nice: when loading into a H2H match, you now see your captain and the opponent’s captain side by side, and you can pick kits (no more annoying color clashes!). Plus, a little walkout sequence plays showing the captains leading the team out. It’s these small touches that hype you up for the game, rather than just a loading screen.

Team Badge System

This is a brand-new feature that adds a layer of RPG-like progression to your squad. Basically:

  • You can earn Team Badges by playing events, challenges, or perhaps seasonal objectives.


  • These badges, when equipped, provide attribute boosts to your entire lineup.


  • Think of it like applying a global buff card to your team – maybe a badge that gives +2% shooting to all, or +5 defending.


  • There are multiple slots for badges, which you can all mix and match based on what you want to emphasize.


  • There’s also collection rewards – like if you gather all badges of a set, you get a bonus, etc.


What I love is this lets you customize your team beyond just the players. Say you assembled a very offensive team, but you worry about defense – equip a defensive badge to shore it up. Or you feel your playstyle is about high press – maybe a stamina or speed badge helps.

It also adds another progression path – grinding for badges is something to do aside from just upgrading players. And importantly, it affects the whole lineup, so it’s impactful.

One thing to note: opponent teams can also have badges, so this becomes part of the tactical meta. You might eventually see people discussing best badge builds for certain formations.

Rank Up & Training Overhaul

For those deep into developing players, two big changes:

  • Rank Up Currency: Previously, ranking up players required specific items or duplicate players, etc., which was a bit of a hassle. Now they replaced it with a unified Rank Up Currency. This simplifies things a lot – you just need to accumulate that currency and you can rank up whoever. No more scouring for specific rank tokens or whatever. It’s a welcome simplification.
  • Training Levels Untied from Rank: Before, you had to Gold Rank a player to train them beyond a certain level. Now training (leveling up a player’s stats) is separate. You can train any player up to Level 30 regardless of rank. This means you can invest in a player’s training even if you haven’t ranked them up, and those levels stay if you rank later. Basically, more freedom to improve your team in the order you want. Love this, because sometimes you had a favorite player stuck at a cap because you didn’t have rank items. Now if you want to pour XP into them, go ahead.


  • The leveling is still capped at 30 (which is a lot of levels), but you don’t need Gold rank first to start, as before. This change lets you develop players more flexibly.

What this means practically: Your team building gets easier and more straightforward. Focus on gathering rank currency and training XP, not fiddling with too many resource types. It should also reduce the “oh no I maxed level but can’t rank up yet” frustration.

Improved Player Likeness & Celebration

Nothing beats scoring a goal with your favorite player who actually looks like himself and does his signature celebration. This update added 100+ new Star Heads – meaning many players now have real face scans and look more like their real-life counterparts. If you sign a new card and see that fresh face, it just feels good – immersion matters.

They specifically added Endrick’s handshake celebration too. Endrick is a hyped young player, and his little handshake goal celebration (perhaps referencing a famous handshake he did?) is now in the game. So when you net a goal with him, you can flex that new celly.

Small details, yes, but it’s those polish points that make you smile mid-game. Also, improved likeness goes hand in hand with the presentation upgrades – when you see a close-up of a player, it’s nice if he doesn’t have a generic face.

Audio & Commentary

If you play with sound, you’ll notice:

  • New Commentary Languages: They added Turkish and Polish commentary teams. So if you’re a native speaker or just want to mix it up, you can switch to those. It’s also great for inclusivity; more players can enjoy commentary in their language.


  • Better Sound Effects & Music: Stadium sounds, crowd noise, and menu music got a refresh. Goals, hits, and whistles sound sharper. The audio team really went for a more dynamic soundscape. It’s subtle, but it adds to the adrenaline.

Quality of Life: Manager Mode, Locker Room, Rivals

They didn’t forget the side modes and general UX:

  • Manager Mode: It now properly saves your chosen tactics and even shows which tactic you’re using when a match starts. If you play the sim-style Manager mode, this is great because previously sometimes the team wouldn’t stick to the tactic you set or you’d forget what you set last. Now it’s persistent and visible.


  • Halftime Pitch Logos: This bugged me before – sometimes the pitch logos (those graphics on the field for events or sponsors) wouldn’t flip sides at halftime, breaking immersion. They fixed that, so now each half the logo orientation is correct. A tiny fix, but speaks to their attention to detail.


  • Locker Room (Customization) Fixes: They improved how players render when you’re checking their appearance – no more weird dark faces when zooming in on them in the customize screen. It sounds like they also made it more stable – rapid changes won’t bug out and things like kit number changes update the avatar correctly. All good stuff, especially for those who love tinkering with kits and cosmetics.
  • Division Rivals Adjustments: Here’s a good one for fairness – after a season reset, you only drop 5 divisions instead of 10 now. They also fixed the profile to show your actual current division (before it sometimes showed last season’s until you played a match). And they polished the Head to Head UI in rivals for consistency.
