The Call of Duty: Mobile community is in for an out-of-this-world update, as Season 6 — Gundams Arrive is just around the corner. With a major collaboration bringing iconic Gundam mechs to the battlefield, this new season promises an exciting mix of futuristic combat, new weapons, and exclusive Gundam-themed rewards.
 

As a long-time fan of COD Mobile AND the Gundam franchise (actually pretty much any mecha-related anime/ manga [Voltron, Transformers: Cybertron,  Kuromukuro; you name it]), it brings me great pleasure to break down everything players can look forward to. If you’re looking for the inside scoop on what’s new and why this season is set to be a game-changer, keep reading!

Gundam in COD Mobile: Get Ready for Mech Madness

First things first, the biggest news of the season is the Gundam crossover; and yes, Gundam mechs are officially entering the battlefield. This collab brings the iconic Japanese franchise to COD Mobile, offering players the chance to suit up in iconic Gundam-themed operator skins and experience the newly added Gundam Team Deathmatch mode. 

In this limited-time multiplayer mode, you’ll jump into battles with your very own Gundam mech. This isn’t just any regular mode; each Gundam comes with its own unique abilities, weapons, and mechanics. There’s vertical jet boosts, dodging, and sprinting, all while bringing the fight to your enemies in classic 4v4 style.

You’ll be battling it out from a third-person perspective on a specially designed map, an interstellar space station with futuristic points of interest. The battles will be fast-paced and fluid, just the way we like it. And after each game, you’ll be treated to some epic Gundam-themed operator animations (more on that in a bit). If that isn’t enough, Gundam Team Deathmatch will come with themed events that give you easy ways to rack up rewards while showing off your skills.

Gundam-Themed Rewards and Freebies

So, how do you earn those sweet Gundam rewards? Simple: complete challenges and missions in the Survival of the Fittest event, and you’ll snag goodies like the legendary J358 – Fin Funnel v Gundam, weapon skins, emotes, and more. Plus, the season kicks off with a bang – Double CP (COD Points) event, so you can earn twice the CP all season long. It’s the perfect chance to stack up on in-game currency for the Gundam Forever Operator Series Draw.

That’s right; with the Operator Series Draw, you can unlock Operator Skins like Ethan – Freedom Gundam, Reaper – Sazabi Gundam, and more. There’s also the exclusive Gundam Universe Weapon Series Draws that will allow you to unlock iconic skins like Proton — v Gundam, along with the unique weapon blueprints that match. These skins aren’t just for show, either. They come with special finishing moves and unique lobby animations, adding even more style to your in-game persona.

If you’re a big fan of cosmetics, these draws are a great way to deck out your character in some seriously cool gear. And completing both the Weapon and Operator Series Draw will reward you with exclusive calling cards, frames, etc.

New Content, New Opportunities

And, of course, there’s more. The Battle Pass this season adds some truly exciting content. Free tier rewards include the bolt-action 3-Line Rifle, a deadly marksman rifle with high accuracy, and weapon blueprints for the BP50 – Pathripper and BY15 – Dark Moon. For those who want to go all out, the premium pass is packed with skins like Silver – Chrome Dome Reskin, and Misty – Science Pilot, among others.

There’s also the Season 6 Challenge Pass, where you can unlock the J358 Hammer Grip Signature Attachment. It boosts the revolver’s fire rate, perfect for those intense firefights. New missions will be added throughout the season, so you’ll have plenty to keep you busy.

As if Gundams weren’t enough, Season 6 brings a special Independence Day event running from July 4th to July 9th. Celebrate with exclusive rewards like Independence Day Calling Cards, Weapon Blueprints, and more. All you have to do is log in and play, no strings attached.
