Call of Duty: Mobile Season 11 — 6th Anniversary is about to drop, and it’s the biggest gameplay update of the year. This season isn’t just another content patch – it’s a full-on celebration of six years of COD Mobile, packed with a new extraction mode, a flashy Street Fighter crossover, new weapons and scorestreaks, tons of events, and festive rewards to end 2025 with a bang.
Let’s break down everything coming in the Call of Duty Mobile Season 11 – 6th Anniversary update (launching December 11, 2025) and see why this capstone season is generating so much hype.
DMZ: Recon – A New High-Stakes Extraction Mode
DMZ: Recon is the first brand-new game mode COD Mobile has added alongside the classic Multiplayer and Battle Royale modes. If you’ve played Call of Duty Warzone’s DMZ or games like Escape from Tarkov, you’ll feel right at home: three-player squads deploy into a map filled with both real enemies and AI enemies (PvPvE).
The mission is simple on paper – land, fight, loot, and extract with your spoils before time runs out. But if you die, you lose everything you didn’t extract, so every decision counts. It’s a tense balance of risk and reward that brings a fresh survival thrill to Call of Duty Mobile.
Two diverse maps are available in DMZ: Recon from the start, each offering a different flavor of combat:
- Serpent Island: a sprawling large-scale map with multiple zones, reminiscent of a mini Battle Royale map. It’s stitched together from iconic Call of Duty locations, blending dense urban battlegrounds with ancient ruins and even an anchored cargo freighter offshore. If you prefer having some breathing room to strategize, Serpent Island offers space to explore and varied terrain for every playstyle. You can even earn in-match cash and hit up Buy Stations to snag vehicles for quicker rotations around the island. Beware though, enemy squads aren’t the only threat. AI combatants roam the map, and a boss lurks somewhere on the island with high-value loot if you can take it down. All the while, a radiation cloud slowly expands (much like the BR circle), so plan your extraction before the zone closes in on your team.
- Building 21: a fan-favorite locale borrowed from Modern Warfare II’s DMZ mode, this map is the polar opposite of Serpent Island’s wide spaces. Building 21 is tight, indoor, and intense, with three floors of close-quarters combat. One minute you’re trading shots in a parking garage, the next you’re brawling through labs, offices, and storage rooms. There’s very little room to hide or catch your breath here; perfect for squads that crave fast-paced action and constant gunfights. If Serpent Island feels like a tactical sandbox, Building 21 is more like a claustrophobic deathmatch where map control and quick reactions reign supreme.
To succeed in DMZ: Recon, you’ll need more than sharp aim. The mode bakes in classic DMZ mechanics to keep things interesting:
- Contracts: Optional mini-missions during a match (like hunting down a target squad or grabbing high-value loot) that reward you with cash, gear, and other perks when completed. Taking on a Bounty Contract to track another team or a Most Wanted challenge can add extra risk but pays off in valuable loot.
- Black Market: An out-of-match upgrade system where you can spend the resources you extracted in previous runs to buy better guns, armor, and gear for your next drop. Essentially, the more successful extractions you chain together, the stronger your loadout options become. This persistent progression lets you “gear up” between matches, giving DMZ a rogue-lite flavor that keeps you coming back.
- Faction Missions: Various in-game factions will offer missions or tasks for you to complete over time, granting additional rewards and story tidbits. These missions encourage you to explore all aspects of DMZ mode (from taking out certain enemies to extracting specific items), and they add long-term goals for hardcore players chasing 100% completion.
- 20+ New Weapon Camos: If you love grinding for cosmetic rewards, DMZ: Recon has over twenty new weapon camos that can be unlocked by mastering this mode. It’s a camo grind paradise for completionists, giving veterans another set of challenges (and bragging rights) to pursue.
Overall, DMZ: Recon is shaping up to be Call of Duty Mobile’s most ambitious mode yet. It’s still an early prediction but if you’ve been craving a new way to play COD Mobile beyond the usual multiplayer matches or battle royale, DMZ: Recon is the answer.
Street Fighter Crossover – Hadokens and Shoryukens in COD Mobile
In a crossover we never knew we needed, Street Fighter has entered the arena of COD Mobile. Instead of just dropping some Ryu and Chun-Li skins in the shop, Season 11 takes it to the next level: we’re getting actual Street Fighter gameplay integrated via two limited-time modes – one in Multiplayer and one in Battle Royale. It’s a wild mashup of FPS and fighting game mechanics that’s equal parts silly and awesome, giving both casual fans and Street Fighter die-hards something to enjoy.
Multiplayer Mode – “Shoryu and Hadoken”: This is a fast-paced 5v5 mode that turns your typical gunfight into a Street Fighter-style brawl. When you queue up, don’t expect to spawn with your favorite assault rifle – every operator enters the match armed only with their fists (the Prizefighter boxing gloves) and a superhuman jump ability. Scorestreaks are disabled; instead, you rely on punches, jump kicks, and eventually special moves to take down the enemy. As you land hits and takedowns, you build up a Rage Meter. Fill that meter, and you can literally transform your operator into a Street Fighter character: either Hidora Kai – Ryu or Shigenori – Akuma, complete with their move set.
Choosing Ryu gives you access to his Hadoken projectile (yes, you can straight-up fireball enemies in COD now) and the powered-up Shinku Hadoken, a massive wave-motion blast that can KO opponents in a flash. Opting for Akuma lets you perform the soaring Shoryuken uppercut, and even unleash the infamous Shun Goku Satsu (Raging Demon) finisher to instantly eliminate targets at close range. It all builds to a chaotic crescendo where the first player to rack up a certain number of eliminations triggers a champion status (a true fight king moment).
Battle Royale Mode – “Street Royale”: The Street Fighter fun isn’t confined to small arenas – it’s spilling into the BR map (Isolated) as well. In the Street Royale event, special holographic characters from Street Fighter are hidden around the map. Interact with a hologram of Ryu (Hidora Kai), Akuma (Shigenori), Chun-Li (Shadowfall), or Cammy (Fiona St. George), and you’ll instantly acquire their signature fighting ability. For example, you can snag Ryu’s Hadoken to launch fireballs at enemies in the open world, or Akuma’s Shoryuken to deliver a devastating close-range uppercut out of nowhere. There’s also Chun-Li’s whirlwind Spinning Bird Kick and Cammy’s acrobatic Spiral Arrow dive attack. Once you pick up an ability, it’s yours to use for the rest of that match, giving you a surprise edge in firefights. The Street Fighter collaboration only lasts for a limited time this season, so be sure to jump in and experience these modes while they’re live. It’s not every day you get to pull off a Hadoken in Call of Duty, and it’s a great way for new players to enjoy some lighthearted gameplay while learning the ropes.
First-Person Weapon Improvements
Season 11 isn’t just about big new modes – it also brings some welcome polish to the core gunplay experience. The developers have continued their ongoing effort to enhance the visual fidelity and feel of weapons in first-person view. In the 6th Anniversary update, expect to see updated first-person weapon animations for several guns. These subtle tweaks (like smoother reloads, recoil animations, and sprinting stances) make the game look and feel more modern and immersive. It’s part of a long-term project to optimize COD Mobile’s graphics and presentation, so even as we enjoy new content, the game itself keeps getting slicker.
Hardcore fans will notice the differences in how their favourite guns handle visually, and new players get an even more polished first-person shooter experience from the get-go.
Seasonal Events and 6th Anniversary Rewards
The 6th Anniversary season means free rewards galore. COD Mobile is rolling out a series of limited-time events and challenges that reward players with exclusive celebratory loot, so there’s plenty to do even outside of DMZ and the Street Fighter modes.
- “Street Fighter – Secret Cache” Event: For the first time ever, a Secret Cache event includes crossover content. Throughout Season 11, you can earn Secret Caches by participating in various events and even just by logging in (up to four caches per day from daily logins). Cracking open these caches gives you random rewards – usually things like weapon XP cards or pieces (“fragments”) of a new weapon – but this season there’s also a chance to pull Street Fighter-themed items. The headline prize here is a brand-new Legendary Striker shotgun blueprint called “Source Code”, which is up for grabs via the caches. Additionally, you could obtain the Demir – Luke operator skin (Luke from Street Fighter 6, reimagined as a COD Mobile operator) or an epic ICR-1 assault rifle blueprint with a Street Fighter flair, among other goodies. There are also Street Fighter-themed emotes, charms, stickers, and even a special grenade skin in the mix. Essentially, by just playing the game and doing the events, you’re getting free loot rolls that could land you some cool collab items.
- 6th Anniversary Celebration Events: Season 11 features two special anniversary-themed events where you can earn celebratory cosmetics. Ever wanted to deck out your loadout in birthday swag? These events have you covered. Rewards include the Vargo-S “Spectral Sixth” blueprint (a sleek new skin for the Vargo-S rifle that commemorates six years of CODM) and a 6th Anniversary Calling Card, Weapon Charm, and other festive items. By completing event tasks (likely simple objectives like playing matches, killing enemies with certain weapons, etc.), you’ll unlock these limited items and show off your OG status as part of the 6-year club. Don’t miss out, because once the anniversary party is over, these items may not return.
- Other Seasonal Mini-Events: Beyond the big collabs, keep an eye out for smaller holiday-themed events throughout the season. For example, one event is set to grant a reskinned Archangel operator outfit with a Christmas twist, and a Chopper Gunner scorestreak skin decked in holiday colours. These might be tied to a winter fest or New Year's event in-game. The key takeaway is that logging in regularly and checking the Events tab will reward you with a constant drip of free content this season.
6th Anniversary Battle Pass and Ground Forces Subscription
No new season is complete without a Battle Pass, and Season 11’s 6th Anniversary Battle Pass is loaded with content – including a brand-new weapon and scorestreak that can shake up the meta. As always, the Battle Pass features a free track available to all players and a premium track for those who purchase the pass. If you’re new to COD Mobile: the Battle Pass is a tiered reward system where you level up by playing the game, unlocking various rewards at each tier. Buying the Premium Pass (for a few hundred COD Points) gives you access to all the premium tier rewards; otherwise, you still get the free tier goodies as you level it up.
Free Battle Pass Tiers: This season’s free rewards are really impactful. At tier 14 (usually where new weapons drop), players can unlock the SO-14 Marksman Rifle – a powerful new marksman gun that can switch between firing modes and excels at mid-to-long range fights. Marksman rifles often blur the line between assault rifles and sniper rifles, so expect the SO-14 to pack a punch; hardcore players will surely test its potential in ranked matches to see if it becomes the next meta weapon. At a higher free tier, you also get the Wheelson-HS Scorestreak, essentially a remote-controlled mini-tank armed to the teeth. Deploying the Wheelson lets you drive this drone on the battlefield, spraying gunfire (or explosives) and clearing out entrenched enemies – it’s a fun new tool for objective modes or to turn the tide in a pinch. Beyond those, the free pass includes various skins, a weapon blueprint or two, some Vault Coins (which can be used to redeem items from older Battle Passes in the Vault), and of course some COD Points. Even if you don’t spend a dime, leveling the pass will earn you a chunk of COD Points and loot.
Premium Battle Pass Tiers: If you do spring for the Premium Pass, that’s where the season really shines. Season 11’s premium rewards are all about the holidays and that Street Fighter/martial arts vibe. You’ll immediately notice the new operator skins:
- Ajax – “Mauy Claus”: a beefy Santa-themed skin for Ajax, complete with a tactical Santa outfit. (It’s basically “Mall Santa meets Special Forces”, and it’s as hilarious as it sounds – perfect for bringing some cheer to your MVP replays.)
- Sparrowhawk – “Iron Kata”: an operator dressed in dojo attire, giving off martial arts master energy. This fits great with the Street Fighter theme, as Sparrowhawk looks ready to duel in a dojo after the match.
- There are also at least two holiday-themed weapon blueprints: the Krig 6 – “Noel Protocol” (an assault rifle wrapped in festive cheer), the CBR4 – “Gingershot” (an SMG with gingerbread house vibes), and the SO-14 – “Sleighstrike” blueprint which gives the new marksman rifle a merry makeover. These blueprints not only look the part with lights or candy cane camo, but they often have unique muzzle flashes or effects. They’re great for showing off in matches and will especially appeal to long-time players who collect rare skins.
- As with every premium pass, you’ll also get more COD Points back (usually if you complete the pass, you earn back enough CP to buy next season’s pass), plus extras like emotes, a themed backpack or avatar, and so on. The 6th Anniversary Battle Pass is truly stacked – it’s designed to make you feel like a kid unwrapping gifts, tier after tier.
Ground Forces Subscription: For the truly dedicated, there’s also the Battle Pass Subscription option known as Ground Forces. This is a monthly subscription that costs a bit more CP, but it gives you the Premium Pass plus additional perks and bonus rewards each month. Subscribers in Season 11 will instantly unlock the exclusive Lucas – “Yarn Burner” operator skin, which looks like Lucas got ugly-sweatered up for the holidays (cozy but deadly), along with the HS2126 – “Supply Drop” weapon blueprint (a festive shotgun skin) and a “Gift Pack” backpack to complete the look.
On top of the cosmetics, Ground Forces members get a 10% boost to all XP (player and weapon levelling will be a bit faster), some discount coupons for the in-game store, and even limited discounts on 10x crate pulls. If you play COD Mobile daily, the subscription can be good value – you essentially get more rewards and progression speed on top of the normal Battle Pass. For new players, it might be overkill, but for hardcore fans, it’s worth considering. And hey, if you’re looking to grab the Premium Pass (or subscribe to Ground Forces) and you need some CP, remember that you can top up via the Carry1st Shop – there’s a special 10% discount for CODM CP purchases, which is especially handy for players in Nigeria who want a good deal on their Battle Pass.
Challenge Pass and Mission Rewards
In addition to the main Battle Pass, Season 11 introduces a Challenge Pass system that adds even more depth for those who love completing missions. Think of the Season 11 Challenge Pass as a secondary progression track purely driven by challenges: it features Standard, Special, and Elite missions that you can complete at your own pace. Every time you knock out these tasks, you earn Challenge Tokens, which can be exchanged for exclusive rewards in the new seasonal Exchange store. What kind of rewards? For starters, there’s a slick new UAV Scorestreak reskin up for grabs (so your UAV drone will have a unique 6th Anniversary look when you call it in). There are also more Street Fighter collaboration items available here – for example, if luck wasn’t on your side with the Secret Caches, the Challenge Pass exchange might let you directly purchase the Luke operator skin or some themed weapon blueprints using your earned tokens. Essentially, the Challenge Pass rewards dedicated play: the more missions you complete, the more tokens you get, and then you decide which rewards matter most to you. It’s a great way for both free-to-play and paying players to grind out additional loot beyond the Battle Pass.
Be sure to check the Events/Missions tab in-game regularly to see your Challenge Pass objectives. Some missions might be as simple as “play X matches” (good for casual players), while others could be “kill 50 enemies with sniper rifles” or “win a Battle Royale match” (challenges that hardcore players will knock out). The Challenge Pass runs all season, so even newcomers who join late in Season 11 can catch up and earn tokens to grab some cool gear. And don’t forget: the Mission Board in the main menu will also highlight seasonal tasks and their rewards, making it easy to track your progress.
In-Game Store Highlights – Mythic Weapon & Collab Collections
Of course, it wouldn’t be a COD Mobile season without awesome new stuff in the Store. Season 11’s shop updates will tempt collectors and thrill-chasers alike, with everything from a new Mythic weapon to crossover bundles. Here are the big highlights:
- New Mythic Draw – SO-14 “Razor Torrent”: They always say “don’t bring a knife to a gunfight,” but what if your gun is made of knives? Season 11 poses that question with the Razor Torrent, a Mythic-tier version of the new SO-14 rifle that’s literally adorned with blades. This thing looks straight out of an anime – imagine a sleek marksman rifle with razor-sharp edges and animated effects. The Mythic Draw gives you a (lucky) chance to obtain this ultra-rare weapon. Alongside the Razor Torrent, the draw includes a matching character skin: Templar – Shadow (an “unstoppable slayer” outfit that pairs with the weapon’s violent theme). As always, Mythic items are mainly for the hardcore fans and collectors – they offer unique visual effects, custom kill effects, and bragging rights. If you have spare COD Points and love to flex, this draw will be the big one to try.
- Street Fighter Collab Collections: To fully bring Street Fighter into CODM, the store is launching two massive bundles (called Armories). The Operator Series Armory – Hero’s Collection includes 15+ Street Fighter–themed operator skins. We’re talking full character getups: you can literally play as Cammy (Fiona St. George), Akuma (Shigenori), Chun-Li (Shadowfall), or Ryu (Hidora Kai) in COD Mobile. Each of these operator skins comes with its own signature emote and finishing move inspired by the fighter’s moveset – imagine finishing an enemy with Ryu’s iconic pose or Chun-Li’s flip kick as a final kill. The Weapon Series Armory – Champion’s Collection complements this with 15+ weapon blueprints, each decked out in Street Fighter flair (vibrant colours, animated effects, and touches that represent the characters). This collab is a dream for Street Fighter fans and cosmetic enthusiasts – it’s like an in-game celebration of the fighting franchise’s legacy, but be ready to shell out CP or cross your fingers on some luck if it’s through crates.
- “Four Horsemen – Famine” Draw: The next chapter in CODM’s Four Horsemen series arrives this season with the Famine Draw. This dark and menacing set introduces Tengu – Famine, a ghastly new operator skin that embodies the Horseman of Famine, and it comes with a matching Legendary Vargo-S “Famine’s Curse” blueprint. The Vargo-S AR gets a twisted famine-themed design, likely with eerie visual effects (maybe a green smoke or withered look). There’s also an Epic Nail Gun “Faminewing” blueprint included, plus a creepy animated calling card and avatar to complete the collection. If you recall, previous seasons had War and Pestilence themes – Famine continues that saga. Draws like these give hardcore players another chance to obtain a unique character and top-tier gun skin.
- Battle Pass Vault – Siren Song 2023: As a cherry on top, Season 11 is bringing back an older Battle Pass into the Vault system. The Siren Song Battle Pass from 2023 (which had a holiday/winter theme) will be available again for anyone who missed it. Vault content can be unlocked using Vault Coins (earned from playing or the Battle Pass) or CP. Siren Song includes classic holiday operator skins like Soap – Buzzard King and Lerch – Chemical Santa, and weapon skins such as the M4 – Ice Leopard and Groza – Final Gift. This is great for newer players who weren’t around in 2023 – you get a shot at collecting those cool Christmas-season items and characters.
