PUBG Mobile’s April update introduced the highly anticipated Anukhra X-Suit, along with exciting new events and features that will keep players engaged throughout the month and beyond. If you’re wondering what’s new in the battlegrounds, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s a breakdown of everything in the PUBG Mobile April 2025 update, plus tips on how to make the most of it (and how to snag that X-Suit without breaking the bank).

Anukhra X-Suit: Features and How to Obtain It

The star of this update is undoubtedly the Anukhra X-Suit, a mythic-grade outfit that’s turning heads in the lobby. Inspired by ancient Egyptian and cyberpunk vibes, the Anukhra X-Suit comes with special effects and an exclusive ability. According to official announcements, Anukhra is “the first X-Suit capable of summoning a glider on Spawn Island”.

That’s right; if you have this suit equipped, you’ll actually see a badass glider appear during the starting island phase, which is pure swagger and also hints at its theme.

X-Suit Features:

  • Evolving Style: Like other X-Suits, Anukhra has multiple upgradable levels. At max level, it gains an aura, custom emote, elimination broadcast, and a Pharaoh-like headdress that glows. Enemies will know when you’ve maxed it out, and I must say, it’s intimidating.

  • Spawn Island Glider: As we mentioned earlier, a unique glider summoning emote on Spawn Island. It doesn’t really impact gameplay, but it looks incredibly cool to flex before the match starts.

  • Thematic Design: The suit features a desolate tomb aesthetic, complete with a tattered cloak, glowing hieroglyphs, and a sandstorm effect that briefly kicks up around you when performing specific actions, such as achieving a multi-kill.

How to Get the Anukhra X-Suit

The X-Suit is obtainable via a limited-time event called the X-Suit Arrival Event. Here are the ways to obtain it:

  • Lucky Crate Spins: The primary way is by spending UC on the Anukhra X-Suit crates (or spins). It’s essentially a luck-based gacha. You’ll collect “Anukhra Tokens” or material pieces with each spin; enough tokens can be exchanged for the X-Suit outright.

  • Discounted Draws: There’s a one-time discounted 10x draw and some increased drop rate periods announced in-game. Make sure to do your spins during those for a better chance.

  • Free Missions: Not a completely free suit, but you can complete daily missions to earn Tomb Tokens (event currency). These tokens let you redeem a few free crate openings in the X-Suit Arrival event. It’s possible (though extremely lucky) to pull the X-Suit from these free openings, so definitely do your dailies! Even if you don’t get the suit, the missions grant other loot.

  • Extended Availability: After the special event, Anukhra X-Suit remains available in the X-Suit Inventory (alongside older X-Suits) until May 31, 2025. So you have the rest of April and May to try for it through the normal Lucky Spin as well.

If you need UC, you can directly top up from the Carry1st Shop’s PUBG Mobile UC page and get the best in-game currency promos and deals you can find anywhere on the market. These could give you more UC for your money (every little bit helps when chasing a mythic X-Suit!

New Game Mode: Golden Dynasty & Map Update

Aside from cosmetics, this update features fresh gameplay too. PUBG Mobile added a new themed mode called “Golden Dynasty” in celebration of its 7th anniversary. This mode introduces ancient temple areas on classic maps and some fun power-ups.

Per patch notes, Golden Dynasty mode is available on Erangel, Livik, and the new map Rondo from Mar. 6 to May 6, 2025. If you queue for these maps in Ranked, you have a chance to spawn into a Golden Dynasty version of the match.

  • New Map (Rondo): A brand new 8x8 km map called Rondo debuted in version 3.7 (the major patch preceding April). If you haven’t tried Rondo yet, imagine a mix of Miramar and Sanhok, vast desert expanses with some lush oases. It’s part of the update highlights and fits well with Golden Dynasty mode (Rondo contains a special ancient arena where Dynasty mode events occur).

  • Golden Dynasty Features: In this mode, you’ll find Dynasty Scrolls around the map. Collecting scrolls can trigger “Ancient Trials,” mini-challenges like defeating a wave of Terracotta soldiers or solving a quick puzzle in a temple. Completing a trial rewards high-tier loot, including a guaranteed flare gun or level 3 gear. There’s also a boss event: a golden armored warlord NPC spawns randomly; take it down with your squad to get an Anukhra-themed loot crate drop (yes, you can get a temporary Anukhra outfit for the match if you kill the boss!).

  • Time Reversal Mechanic: Golden Dynasty mode lets you find a Time Reversal Device. Use it if you die early: it rewinds time by a few seconds to give you another chance (think of it like a one-time undo for a fatal mistake). It’s a game-changer if used wisely, letting you avoid those “wish I hadn’t peeked at that sniper” moments.

This new content has been hugely popular, the Golden Dynasty mode gives a refreshing twist to classic BR gameplay, and Rondo as a map has received positive feedback for its design and visuals. Definitely give it a try for a break from the usual routine.

April 2025 Events in PUBG Mobile

PUBG Mobile loves its events, and April 2025 is packed with them. Here’s a quick rundown of the major April events to watch:

  • X-Suit Arrival Event: As covered, this event is all about the Anukhra X-Suit. Beyond trying your luck in draws, simply logging in during this period grants you free rewards each day – including outfit trial cards and even a few free UC coupons. By April 13, even if you don’t get the X-Suit, you’ll likely accumulate enough tokens for consolation prizes like a special Anukhra parachute skin and profile frame.

  • WOW Event Calendar: PUBG Mobile officially rolled out a “WOW (Week of Wonders) Event Calendar” for April. Each week has a different thematic event:

    • Early April (April 1–7): April Fools Challenges; fun missions like jumping 50 times in a match (rewarding joke items and a “Jester” title). There was even a prank mode on Spawn Island where everyone had tiny heads for a day!

    • Mid April: Ancient Secrets Return, an Egypt-themed event returned for a limited time. If you played the Ancient Secret mode back in the day, this was a nostalgic revival with puzzles in the sky temple. Rewards included a Pharaoh avatar and lots of crates.

    • Late April: Buddy Night – a friend referral event encouraging you to play matches with friends. The more games you squad up together, the more points you earn toward redeeming a permanent outfit. Time to call up your old squadmates!

  • Royale Pass Month 3: April also saw the introduction of Royale Pass Month 3 with the update. It’s filled with Nativity Warrior-themed cosmetics that match the Golden Dynasty. If you’re a RP subscriber, the missions will tie into the new mode and events (e.g., “Eliminate 5 enemies in Rondo” etc.). Work hard to unlock all the goodies before the pass resets.

  • Esports Event: On the esports front, the PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Africa Spring 2025 is running through April. Even if you’re not competing, there’s an in-game pick’em challenge where predicting winners grants you tokens to exchange for a PMPL parachute and outfit. It’s a nice passive event; just remember to log in and make your predictions each week.

With so much going on, it’s nearly impossible to be bored in PUBG this month and even the next. The events cater to all kinds of players of one of the most beloved FPS titles.

Tips and Must-Do’s for Players

  1. Don’t Miss the Freebies: Even if you’re not chasing the X-Suit, log in during the X-Suit Arrival event daily. The login rewards include free crate coupons and tokens that you can use for other items. It’s basically free UC and materials handed out over the week.

  2. Try the New Mode for Easy Rewards: Golden Dynasty mode not only is fun but also lucrative. The first match you play in this mode each day yields bonus RP points and mission progress. Plus, the special trials can gear you up better than normal looting.

Pro tip: drop in the marked Ancient Temple areas on the map to engage with the event content early (just be ready for a fight, as they’re hot drops).

  1. Grind with a Friend: Many April event missions are faster in duos/squads (like the Buddy Night and some Royale Pass tasks). Teaming up will make those “play X matches” or “kill Y enemies with friend” missions much less tedious. And honestly, PUBG is always more fun with a friend, right?

  2. Watch Your UC – Set a Limit: The Anukhra X-Suit is tempting, but remember it’s ultimately luck-based. It’s wise to set a UC spending limit for yourself. Do the discounted draws, and if you’ve collected enough tokens to be far from pity, maybe hold off. There’s rumors of other loot you may be better interested in, so you might want UC for that if Anukhra doesn’t pan out. Spend wisely, and use those free chances first.

The Final Word

In summary, PUBG Mobile’s April 2025 update is a mix of flashy cosmetics and solid gameplay additions. The Anukhra X-Suit brings a new level of bragging rights (and yes, jealousy in the lobby), while the Golden Dynasty mode and fresh events ensure there’s plenty of substance to enjoy with or without the suit.

Make the most of the events to stockpile rewards, squad up to dominate the new content, and just have fun; this has to be one of the most content-rich updates in a while. Now drop in, stay safe (from both snipers and mummies), and claim that Chicken Dinner!
