Eyes on Kaká? You're not alone. EA FC Mobile players are buzzing about the new 109 OVR CAM Kaká exchange, and for good reason. This isn't your run-of-the-mill card; it's a legendary attacking midfielder with stats that'll make any opponent sweat.

In other words, Kaká is arguably the best CAM in the game right now. But how do you actually unlock him?

What is the 109 OVR Kaká Exchange (and Why All the Hype)?

EA Sports introduced Kaká as part of the ongoing Aqua vs Inferno promo event in FC Mobile. In Week 3 of the event (around late June 2025), a special exchange appeared, offering 109 OVR CAM Kaká (Inferno) as the reward. This exchange lives in the Player Exchange menu under a new "Special" tab; if you log into the game, navigate to Player Exchange > Special, you’ll find Kaká waiting for you there. It’s essentially the mobile equivalent of a big Squad Building Challenge (which console players will remember), but time-limited.

According to the in-game info, the Kaká exchange will be available for about two weeks (it expires by July 10, 2025), aligning with the end of the Aqua vs Inferno event.

So, why is everyone excited? Kaká is an Iconic CAM with a 109 OVR, which is endgame material. For context, earlier in this event EA had Eto’o exchanges at 108 OVR, but those required a specific Eto’o card from the paid Star Pass (basically locking out most free players). Kaká’s exchange, by contrast, is available to all players, including F2P (free-to-play). That means if you grind hard enough, you can get one of the best CAMs in the game without spending a dime: a big deal for the community.

The card itself carries Kaká’s real-life flair: 5-star skill moves, an iconic “Point to Sky” celebration, and key traits like Finesse Shot and Playmaker. Plus, you can boost his OVR up to 114 through training/ranks, so he has long-term value. All that, combined with nostalgia for the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner, makes this exchange huge news in FC Mobile circles.

Exchange Requirements: What You Need for Kaká

Now, let’s get into the nuts and bolts. To complete the 109 OVR Kaká exchange, you’ll have to submit the following resources in-game:

  • 400× Aqua vs Inferno Shards (event currency)

  • 3× players rated 107 OVR or higher

  • 5× players rated 106 OVR or higher

  • 3× players rated 105 OVR or higher

In plain terms, you must trade in 11 high-rated players (often called fodder in FIFA/FC Mobile lingo) plus 400 event shards to get Kaká. Those players can be any card meeting the OVR threshold (they don’t have to be specific names), but once exchanged, they’re gone from your club. The Kaká you receive is untradeable, meaning you can’t sell him; but that’s fine because you’ll likely want to keep this beast in your lineup.

Timeline: This special exchange is live for a limited time, roughly two weeks from release, and is set to end by July 10, 2025. After that, if you haven’t completed it, you miss out. So there’s a bit of a ticking clock, but at least we got some time to grind.

How to Gather Shards and High-OVR Players (Fast)

Seeing “400 shards and a bunch of 105+ players” might feel intimidating, especially if you’re a free player. But don’t worry, it’s doable with some planning. Here are some tips on how to get the required shards and players to complete Kaká’s exchange:

  • Grind Daily for Shards: The Aqua vs Inferno event is your primary source of shards. Make sure you complete the daily objectives and skill games in the event every day; these reward you with Aqua vs Inferno Shards regularly. Also look out for weekly milestones or bonus objectives that grant shards. Basically, prioritize event activities that drop shards. It might seem slow, but 20–30 shards a day (just an example) adds up over the two-week span. Don’t skip free packs or ads in the store either, if they offer event tokens. Every shard counts!

  • Use the Market Smartly: For the high-OVR player requirements (105, 106, 107+ OVR players), check your club first. If you’re like me, you might have some unused high-rated cards from previous events sitting on your bench. Those are ideal to submit as fodder. If you don’t have enough, you’ll need to hit the market. Pro tip: buy early. As soon as Kaká was announced, prices for 105–107 OVR fodder started climbing. Try to snipe some deals before they get out of hand. Also, consider selling off other assets (like extra 101-104 OVR players or any valuable card you don’t need) to build up coin funds, then reinvest those coins into the required players. Remember, you need 3 players at 107+, so if you can’t find cheap 107s, even a 108 or 109 OVR (that you’re willing to sacrifice) can fill that slot. Same goes for the 106+ and 105+ slots – “107+” means 107 or higher, so higher-rated fodder works too if you have them. Just don’t overspend on a 109 card unless you’re desperate; aim for the minimum OVR needed to save coins.

  • Save Fodder from Events: If you planned ahead, you might already have fodder. As a member of the Gaming Hub community puts it, the Kaká exchange is “really hard to do as F2P [free-to-play] only possible if u have high-rated fodder from previous events”. This rings true: players who kept their high OVR rewards from Team of the Season or earlier promos have a big advantage now. Moral of the story: it pays to save your dupes and high OVR cards even if you’re not using them, because you never know when an exchange like this will pop up. If you don’t have any saved, focus on the other tips here, and for the future, start stashing away event rewards that could serve as fodder.

  • Plan Your Progress: Don’t let the requirements overwhelm you. Break it down: you need 400 shards in ~14 days, which is about ~29 shards per day on average. How many shards can you get per day from the event currently? If it’s possible to get, say, 30-40 a day with full grind, you’re on track. If not, you may need to find where to get extra (maybe from event packs or exchanges for shards). Grinding shards early helps reduce panic near the end of the event. The same goes for players: identify which specific OVR slots you still need and tackle those one by one. Perhaps aim to secure one 107+ player every few days. By making a plan, you won’t be scrambling on the last day with 50 shards to go.

  • Consider a Points Top-Up (If Needed): What if you’re running out of time, or you’re short a few resources? Maybe you’ve got 300 shards and only a day left, or you need one more 107 OVR player but prices are sky-high. In that case, you might consider spending a bit of real money to bridge the gap; but do it safely. For example, you can quickly top up your FC Points or even purchase coins (Silver) via the Carry1st Shop (which offers direct EA FC Mobile top-ups in regions like Nigeria).

Is 109 OVR Kaká Worth the Grind? (Community Opinions & My Take)

After all this talk of grinding and resources, you might be asking: “Is it really worth it to pour all this into one player?” In mine and the opinion of experts, yes – Kaká is worth every shard and player you put in. This 109 OVR Inferno Kaká is a game-changer on the pitch. His base stats are phenomenal, and in-game he’s as smooth as they come, with explosive pace, clinical finishing, and excellent playmaking

Many players consider him a top-tier CAM that instantly elevates your squad’s attack. Plus, Kaká has that five-star skill moves flair and a 5-star Skill Move ability (Lane Change) that lets him breeze past defenders. He can even reach 114 OVR with upgrades, so he’s not going to be outdated anytime soon.

Another community talking point is Kaká’s stamina. The card has 4-star Stamina (around 78 stat), which is a bit low for a high-end CAM. It’s true that Kaká might start feeling sluggish towards the end of a full match, especially in H2H mode. If you often go into extra time, you might need to sub him off late game. In my experience, though, this isn’t a deal-breaker.

Most Division Rivals matches in FC Mobile are shorter than real 90 minutes, and Kaká’s contributions in attack far outweigh the stamina concern. Unless you spam sprint nonstop, he can still perform all match; and if you do need to rest him, you likely have subs. For me, the sheer quality Kaká brings – from inch-perfect passes to curling finesse shots (thanks to his Finesse Shot trait) – is totally worth that minor stamina issue.

Final Thoughts

Completing the 109 OVR Kaká exchange in EA FC Mobile requires planning, grinding, and some tough choices about which players to sacrifice. But for many, it’s also been one of the most rewarding grinds of the season.

If you love building an attacking, creative squad, you don’t want to miss this. The window is limited, but with the tips and insights above, you should be well on your way to securing Kaká for your team.
