Carry1st and MOONTON Games Launch The Carry1st MWI Africa Qualifier 2026. The Road to the Esports World Cup Begins Here.
Carry1st, in collaboration with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), has officially announced the launch of the Carry1st MLBB Women’s International (MWI) Africa Qualifier 2026. This event serves as the exclusive qualifier for the winning team to represent the African continent at the MWI at the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026.
Building on last year’s success—which saw the Egyptian women’s team, Team Falcons Vega, crowned champions of Africa—Carry1st and MLBB are once again joining forces to champion female gamers across the continent. This year’s edition features a unique format designed to empower professional African female players, providing them with a global stage to showcase their skills.
Registration is now open for all women’s teams ready to make history.
Tournament Format: Three Stages to the Title
The championship utilizes a competitive structure designed to maximize excitement and ensure only the most elite talent advances:
1. Open Qualifiers: Separate regional qualifiers will be held using a Double Elimination format, consisting of an Upper Bracket for winners and a Lower Bracket to give losing teams a second chance to fight back.
2. The Playoffs Stage: Qualifying teams will face off in another Double Elimination bracket. Final matches in each path will be played as a Best of 3 (Bo3), where teams must win two rounds to progress.
3. Grand Finals: On May 16, the Upper Bracket champion will meet the Lower Bracket champion in a decisive Best of 5 (Bo5) showdown. The victor will be crowned the Carry1st MWI Africa 2026 Champion and secure the coveted ticket to represent Africa at the Women’s Esports World Cup.
The Carry1st MWI Africa Qualifier 2026 is a vital gateway for female gamers’ empowerment within the African gaming sector. It is more than just a competition; it is a direct path to the MWI x Esports World Cup, placing African talent side-by-side with the best players internationally.
